Celebrating Durga Puja with a purpose

The festive season brings together people from all walks of life. This 'coming together' imparts cultural and linguistic integration amongst all communities; however, things are ominously different this year. For Boys'91, Durga Puja is very, very special. During this time of the year when Boys'91 meets with their entire family to celebrate the puja with the socially unprivileged children and try to bring a smile to their faces. Respecting the government orders and the social norms to avoid public gatherings, maintain social etiquettes, and restrict celebrations to their homes, Boys'91 has called off their annual meeting this year.

It is a crucial time. Our healthcare machinery, doctors, nurses, and civic authorities are working around the clock to ensure that we emerge victorious in our fight against COVID-19. During these crucial times, though, Boys'91 had not organized the annual meeting following social etiquettes, but they have not forgotten to put a smile on the faces of the unprivileged. Today on the morning of Maha Saptami Boys'91 distributed breakfast and donated funds to two organizations (CINI & Bhimbhar Dristihin Vidyalaya).

Boys'91 hopes that next year they will meet again with joy and laughter as it used to be.
